Camera
The variety of shots in the video is great, there are loads of shots from several angles. The main camera shot is the mid shot of the singer putting all to focus of her, not the surrounding areas.
Editing
There is good use of slow motion edits and what i find interesting the fades of which the boyfriend will fade away within the shot. This shows a excellent level of editing skills throughout the whole video. The story is told through editing also, with the flashbacks/ memories being black and white it is easy to establish the memories from reality. There is also a lot of fades within the song with can make sense due to the lyrics in the song. There are some bad elements with the editing. one of them being in a few shots, the music is way out of sync with the image. This is an amateur mistake, and looses the effect/emotion the video has been portraying.
Mise - en - Scene:
Costume
Throughout the video there is a range of costumes for the artist, which can be appropriate to the video but showing different days where she thinks about the boyfriend.
Actors
the acting in this is not as good as it could have been. The first bit at the train station, the girl should have acted in surprise when she felt a hand on her shoulder, and then begin to cry because there is no one there.
Make-up
The make-up in this video is primarily used on the main singer as it is able to show some kind of emotion, I'm not too sure what it is.
Lighting
The lighting throughout the video is relevant to certain moments of the song. In some parts, it is lighter as it has been filmed outside, and in some other parts, it is a slightly lower tone of lighting for example, near the start when the piano is being played.
